No one knew why the poor boy came to the hospital every single day.
He wore the same worn-out jacket, his shoes barely holding together, yet he never missed a visit. Rain or shine, morning or evening—he was always there.

The nurses began to notice him. At first, they thought he was just another lost child, wandering the halls. But he wasn’t. He always went to the same room… Room 307.

Inside that room lay a young girl, unconscious for weeks. Machines hummed softly around her, keeping her alive. Her family had stopped coming as often. Hope was fading.

But not for the boy.

He would quietly walk in, pull a chair close to her bed, and sit without making a sound. He never touched anything, never caused trouble. He just stayed there… watching her.

One nurse finally couldn’t hold back her curiosity.
“Do you know her?” she asked gently.

The boy hesitated, then shook his head.
“No,” he whispered.

Confused, the nurse pressed on. “Then why do you come here every day?”

The boy looked at the girl, his eyes filled with something deeper than sadness.
“Because she saved me,” he said softly.

The nurse froze.

He began to explain.

Weeks ago, he had been hungry, alone, and desperate on the streets. People passed him by like he didn’t exist—until one girl stopped. She gave him her food, her smile… and for the first time in a long time, she treated him like he mattered.

“That same day… she got hit by a car,” he added, his voice trembling.

The nurse’s heart sank.

“I didn’t even know her name,” he continued. “But I found out she was here. So I come… every day.”

The nurse glanced at the unconscious girl, then back at the boy.

“What do you say to her?” she asked quietly.
