He mocked the new employee and poured a drink over her in front of everyone. But when his father walked in, everything changed instantly.

The office buzzed with quiet tension as everyone pretended to work, their eyes secretly fixed on the scene unfolding near the conference table. Daniel Carter, the young millionaire and heir to the company, leaned back in his chair with a smirk that made people uncomfortable.

Across from him stood Lina, the newest employee. She clutched a stack of documents tightly, her knuckles pale, but her posture remained straight. It was her third day, and already she had become the target of Daniel’s cruel amusement.

“Is this really the best you can do?” Daniel said loudly, making sure the entire office could hear. A few employees lowered their heads, too afraid to intervene.

“I… I followed the instructions exactly,” Lina replied, her voice steady despite the tension in her chest.

Daniel chuckled, glancing around as if inviting others to join his mockery. “Maybe instructions are too complicated for you.”

A few awkward laughs echoed, though most remained silent.

Then, without warning, Daniel picked up his glass of iced coffee. For a split second, it seemed like a joke—until he tilted it forward and poured it over Lina’s head.

Gasps filled the room.

Coffee dripped down her hair, staining her blouse. Lina froze, her eyes wide, but she didn’t scream. She didn’t cry. She simply stood there, humiliated in front of everyone.

Daniel leaned forward, satisfied. “Maybe that’ll wake you up.”

No one moved. No one spoke.

And then—

The office door opened.

The sound was soft, but it cut through the silence like a blade. Everyone turned.

An older man stood at the entrance, his presence commanding immediate respect. It was Mr. Carter—the founder of the company, and Daniel’s father.

He took in the scene in a single glance: the silent employees, Daniel’s smug expression… and Lina, soaked in coffee.

His face changed instantly.

“Daniel,” he said, his voice low but dangerous. “What did you just do?”

For the first time, Daniel’s confidence faltered. “It’s just a joke, Dad. She—”

“Enough.”

The word echoed across the room.

Mr. Carter stepped forward, his gaze never leaving his son. “Do you have any idea who you’re speaking to?”
